Sour crop

I’ve only recently learned what sour crop is. While none of my birds have it, I’d like to know is there a way to prevent it?

I'm currently using epsom salts and acidified copper sulfate in an old Buff Leghorn rooster.

Your link has good info. However, sometimes these types of fungal infections go further down into the gizzard and guts by the time the chicken owner realizes it. That's where Acidified Copper Sulfate comes in.
Once birds get fungal infections (crop), they are tough to get rid of and it usually requires ongoing treatment.
