I was away for Spring Break for a week and a friend was looking after my girls. Got home on sunday and My favorite girl (of course!) was acting really strange. All 'Zombie-like', moving really slowly, not eating or digging for worms and i read on here about her symptoms and found out that she has a crop full of water and is the size of small tennis ball and all squishy.
Being a city boy with NO capabilities to fix this myself I rushed her to the bird doctor. Two hours later and $150 she was flushed out, given antibiotics and was resting back home. I gave her a little drink of water and put her to bed but this morning her crop is almost the same as yesterday??????
I am confused? What does it mean? Will it go back to normal since there is no food in there? There is nothing 'stuck' in her crop and I also have some antibiotic tablets to give her this week...will it just take time to settle down? It saddens me to see her this way. It is like someone sucked out her personality or her will to live!
