I recently noticed a distinct sort of sour smell on my hens. I checked for parasites on their bodies but couldn't find any signs. The 6 dames are 14 months old and currently free ranging (as in total freedom to roam where ever they want, as in "we fenced in the veggie garden to keep the chickens OUT").
