Is sour krout safe? I have a gallon jar that I left open too long. It's not moldy but it just doesn't taste good to me anymore. If it's ok, should we rinse it?
(Flock is all 8 weeks old; been outside eating all the plants & bugs they can find for just over 2 weeks.)

Ah, fermented feed. I'd rinse it to get rid of excess salt and offer in small amounts. Rinsing will also get rid of any potentially beneficial microbes so not really as good as fermented feed but it should be fine if they will eat it.
