Hi all, I have a 8 week old olive egger who I think has either sour or an impacted crop. It is very full and squishy but there is no smell coming out of her mouth. Is it possible for her to have sour crop without any smell? What’s the best method to treat her? I noticed her crop went down a little bit this morning but this afternoon it’s back to being large. Thank you!

Check the crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat or drink. If the crop is not empty, then begin addressing that symptom.

A crop should be full in the late evening when it's time for them to go to roost, they fill up so they have food to process during the night.

Do you have photos of her and her poop?

Do you provide grit (crushed granite)?
What do you feed, including treats?
Is she having any other symptoms - lethargy, not eating/drinking well, isolating herself, etc.?
