I am picking up a batch of Cornish crosses this coming Tuesday. The mill I get my layer feed from has 50# bags of starter 19% protein, grower and layer ready to pick up. With all this quarantine stuff going on now I'm not able to go into the mill and pick up my stuff like normal. This week I called in for a bag of what I thought was broiler starter. When I got home I found it was 19% protein and the tag only talked about layers. When I called to discuss this the person I talked to made it sound like the broiler feed was all custom and only sold in bulk.
I can't talk with anyone about this until Monday and I pick up the chicks Tuesday. Anyone on here from South PA or northern MD and know of a mill that sells smaller quantities of broiler feed. I'll likely need about 550# of starter and 800# of grower. Or any other suggestions of where to get broiler feed?
