I'll soon be starting my great meat chicken adventure and I'm looking for some hatching eggs! I'm interested in dual-purpose breeds (in case I, forgive the pun, chicken out and become too attached to the chicks, at least I can get eggs from them), and I'd like no more than 6 eggs to start with. Preferably at least two breeds if not three, so I can start figuring out which breed(s) I prefer for meat.
I would like to pick up eggs in person rather than have them shipped as my schedule is such that I can't guarantee I'd be around when the eggs arrive. I'm in central NC and am willing to travel anywhere in NC or SC, or potentially even make a trip into south VA, eastern TN, or GA if needed.
