Southern Ohio poultry association show

Hello!!

I'm new to the forums, so please forgive me if I ask any stupid questions, or do something I'm not supposed to, but is anyone attending, or has anyone attened this show before?

I've shown dogs my whole life, but I'm new to chickens, so I thought a chicken show would be a great place to start!!

I'm hoping to see some Polish there, as that's the breed I hope to get!!

I do have questions for you all.....

1) what are some things I should NOT do/ask while at the show?
2) The catalog says judging starts at 9:30am.....is that a good time to arrive and observe?
3) At dog shows, certain breeds are shown at certain times....is anything like that done at poultry shows? Or is it like a "benched" dog show, where the chickens are there all day?
4) Are people generally friendly? Can I easily walk up to people and ask questions, or is that frowned upon?
