When I was a child we would buy a piece of purple sugar cane at the local fair. We would peel the purple skin from it and chew the sweet interior.. I would love to buy some seed of that tall growing purple stemmed kind of sweet sugar cane again. Does anyone have a source for the seed/.Gloria Jean

I posted a little bit over on the other site for you GJ

you use the stalk itself as the joints in the stalk sprout out the new sprigs in the spring time. I don't know anything about the seeds? we always laid stalks in the rows overlapping a couple of inches over and over and on on LOL. (blue) Ribbon cane is the type you are referring to.
