Southwest Georgia new member

[Back40chick]

My first year and a half with chickens has not been good. Between neighborhood dogs and an unwise purchase leading to sickness in my flock of 8, I now have only one sturdy barnyard mix leghorn hen who survived it all.
A friend of mine gave me a barnyard mix rooster. They have been doing great together and Milli has now hatched out two baby chicks.
So now, the new adventure.
I live in Southwest Georgia. I am a retired school teacher and am blessed to live in a very rural area.
