I have read that each bird needs between 2-4 feet of coop space depending on author. Question is how much out door run should they have at minimum?

I've read here that it is 10 square feet per standard chicken in the run, with 4 square feet per chicken in the coop.

It depends what effect you're going for.

If you just want them to probably not disassemble each other, 10 sq ft is a good minimum (you can cheat on it a *little* if you have more coop space, but not if you're in the 2-4 sq ft per hen range indoors)

More, however, is certainly better.
