Sparrow halk

Hi can anybody help me I have a sparrow halk in my chicken shed up in the rafters will this attack my hens or will it be ok

A sparrow hawk would be no threat, but my gut tell that more likely it is a Cooper's hawk - bad news if that is the case.

Hello and Welcome to BYC! I would post on pic on the preditors and pests part of the forum to confirm the type if hawk and take it from there.
