I have gotten a few eggs that have some speckling to them. I have RIR, BO, BR, and EE (which are laying pretty blue eggs). Are any of these kinds that can lay speckled eggs, or is there a lingering gene in one of my chickens family tree that is producing this?
Thanks

My layers are BO, BR, BA, and GLW. I sometimes get speckled eggs. No idea who is responsible, but I like them!

I have about six speckled eggs in the fridge right now, from my LF brahmas. Not sure who all in my flock lays them, but I know Lil'Bit is one that does and hers are heavily speckled.

In our layer flock we have 2 LF light brahma (one is mothering, so not laying atm), 2 RIR, a BO, a BO/RIR, and 2 EEs ... I get 2 or 3 speckled eggs. One is a really pretty dusty terra cotta color (like the pots) with red-brown speckles. I wish I knew who lays that one, it is gorgeous!

Here's a pic of four speckled eggs I got today. Sorry for the bad quality of the pic.
The egg on the far left is from Lil' Bit, a dark brahma hen. I can always tell hers because they are covered in tiny little specks. The second from the left is actually bluish/purple specks and deeper under the surface of the eggshell. I only get those on rare occasions.

These are what mine look like. I only get one per day if I get one at all. Does anyone know what might be causing it?
