Speckled feathers starting to grow in

I think my two Speckled Sussex chicks are starting to grow speckled feathers.

They'll have feathers speckled/banded with shades of brown first, then you'll start to see more white speckling. It seems to start at the head and work its way down. You won't see real white speckling throughout until after a molt or two though. My SS is about two and a half months old and barely has any white on her other than the white on her chest/bottom of her wings. She is just now starting to get white speckling around her face though. I'll add a pic if I can find a good one.

Oh my heart!!!! I think if I had to pick just *one* favorite breed it’d be Speckled Sussex!

Lol, they are a lot of fun. This is my little Ethel from last year so sweet.
At this moment she's gone broody for the first time so she is not quite this sweet baby.
