Speckled Sussex has only laid one egg

Our Speckled Sussex laid her first egg four days ago. Since then she has gone in the nesting box for a while a couple of times and acted like she was going to lay (even did the loud squawking when she got out like she did after laying the first time), but she hasn’t laid another egg since the first one. Is this normal for this breed when starting out? Could she be egg-bound? She’s acting fine but just wondering if this is normal or not.

It's normal for new layers to be sporadic at first, it can be several days from egg to egg.
