Speckled Sussex Roo? I think?

Speckle is15-18 weeks old not exactly sure. Her/His comb has been red since he/she came to live here. I was told that Speckle was a hen, but I'm having second thoughts. I have been looking at other pictures, but I'm more confused then ever. I haven't gotten an egg, and there hasn't been and crowing yet. You are all a wealth of knowledge and experience. Please help me out. What do you think Hen or Rooster?

I'd say rooster, at the younger end of the age range you posted.

I'd say rooster too. I see saddle feathers and a sickle feather in the tail.

Also more white on the chest (not always indicative) and tall stance versus a "tear drop" body style.

That is a cockerel.

that is a rooster, you can see the pointed saddle(back) and hackle(neck) feathers coming in. Looks like he's about 4 months old
