Speckled Sussex X Light Brahma = Sex Link? What about...

Quote:
Yes as long as the gold MF birds are roo they will make sexlinks.

Speckled Sussex are Red Mille Fleur and carry the mohagany genes but MF Cochins and breeds that just go by millefleur are just mottled gold columbian and dont have the mohagany genes.

Light Brahmas and Columian Cochins are the same color which is technically called Silver Columbian.... So yes both breeds can be used as hens in a sexlink cross.

Thanks! It would be worth a try!

I need some help! I am trying a new thing. I am breeding my light brahma roo, with my speckled sussex hens. What will I get? Can someone give me a pic, or something I can search on google.
Thanks...

I know this is an old comment, but I have a light brahma roo and a few different breeds, including a speckled Sussex. I wanted to see if you had any pictures of your results!
