Mille Fleur Cochin X Light Brahma? MF Should carry Mahogany, right? Any ideas if this would work? What about MF Cochin x Columbian?

Speckled Sussex are Red Mille Fleur and carry the mohagany genes but MF Cochins and breeds that just go by millefleur are just mottled gold columbian and dont have the mohagany genes.

Light Brahmas and Columian Cochins are the same color which is technically called Silver Columbian.... So yes both breeds can be used as hens in a sexlink cross.

Assuming the rooster is a Light Brahma, chicks should mostly be colored like him, probably with some amount of gold/red leakage in the males.

My speckled sussex went broody and hatched out 10 chicks recently! Unfortunately, most of the eggs under her were not hers. If you want me to share pictures of the chicks, along with a list of my breeds, I'd be more than happy to do that!
