Speckled sussex

So my friend here was rescued, so please excuse the rough feathers. It was being picked on at it's previous home and growing feathers back and gaining weight. I was told it's a pullet, but im thinking a roo. It's roughly 14-16 weeks old and not crowing. What do y'all think?

I am very new to chickens, but I agree, I think that's a roo.

I think this is a potentially a pullet, but I'm not 100%. I'd wait it out a bit longer before making any rehome decisions.

I plan on it. It's comb is very pale pink, the picture actually looks more read than it is in person. I won't recommend a chicken until I know for sure, usually when they crow. I think i am still clinging to the hope that it's a pullet. The previous owner said all of the her roosters were trying to breed with it. Cloaca kiss and all! Lol

This is a cockerel, just not matured yet.
