Speckled Sussex?

they look like hens to me except the one in the bottom. I have a set of 11 weeks olds and one was absolutely a roo. I just sold him last night and his comb was much bigger than yours and he already had waddles. In the last picture the one in the bottom of the pic could be a roo. His ears are red like my roos were. But do they have roo behavior?

I have a very hard time telling them apart. Aside from the one that is the smallest and the one with the most white, I have no clue.

a roo will begin to fluff up his neck feathers and when he is acting dominant will stick up his neck straight. This will bring his pointed feathers out straight. He will also begin to point out his chest to the girls or other roos to show dominance. The ear of the one in the bottom picture is to the back of the eye. You can see a red spot there. It is absolutely a roo speckle. My girls do not have this ear marking yet. And my adult speckle does not have much of a red ear at all. It is just a not about the size of that roos already. Sorry, you are good with the other though, they look like girls so far.

Thanks! I have been hearing a sound recently that is similar to what a birthday horn or New Year's Eve horn would sound like. I hear that the roos sound pretty pathethic when they start crowing. This one in the picture also fluffs up it's feathers frequently so it sounds like it's roo behavior. I've got a smile on my face.

Good, they are wonderful chickens. My speckles is my constant companion in the garden.
