Speed the Feed !

Has anyone tried using a heating pad to expedite the fermentation process when making fermented feed? It's still a little chilly here in New England so I used a heating pad to get things rolling. Works great! Starts bubbling the next day. I would presume it's ok to do this.
We use it for making wine too!
When is it that you actually can feed it to the chickens? When it starts to bubble, 2 days of bubbling, or when it stops bubbling?

When it has been bubbling for about three or four days is when I feed. It is not quite ready when it is just bubbling for a day.
