Ain't it, though? I was looking at the pics again and the black has the proper leg color, just a hint of yellowish in the beak (unless that is a trick of the light). Every splash that I've hatched here (so far anyway) has had white or slate legs. I have a little three week old one with a broody and I'll have to see what his/her legs end up like. Seems the splash is more likely to show this throwback trait since it was Ellie's splash and last year, Jessica's splash. Or maybe that's just coincidence. Who knows?
