Splayed/curled toe

Hi, this is Penelope, my 7-week old Barred Rock pullet. She appears to have a splayed or curled toe - you can see it in the bottom of this picture. She walks just fine and it was something I didn't even notice until she was 4-5 weeks old. I have 9 other pullets (mixed breeds) that I purchased all together and the others are all fine.

I was just wondering if this is no big deal, or could she develop problems as she grows/ages. As I said, she seems perfectly fine right now. Thanks for your feedback!

I had some that had a toe like that and they grew just fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Ditto for me. My SLW Roo has a crooked toe and he is just like the other boys. Penelope sure is cute! T

Thanks paddock36 and Terri O! It actually works out that she has this toe because it helps us tell her apart from Petunia, our other BR pullet!
