Splayed leg cant lift his bottom up

Had 8 chick hatch yesterday and one has splayed legs really bad so i used vet tape to make him leg brace but it can’t lift his butt.. I hold its butt up for a few sec to help it out but after that it goes back to scooting around on its butt and braced legs forward. What else can I do to help it? It’s almost 24 hrs old now. Thank you

Post a picture of how you applied the tape.
The leg needs to have the other joints moving accordingly so chick can stand correctly.
Consider gently attaching a rubber band at just above the knee joint to keep the legs together.
