splayed legs

i have a 9 week old golden pheasant chick that born with curled toes and a splayed leg which i taped and the leg and feet went back to normal. in the last week the same leg has splayed again. and every time in try taping the legs again the chick panics and wont stand up and then pushes the leg back further, can any one help me with this problem. the chick very healthy, developing and eating well

Try leaving them taped for three or four days. I had a turkey do this a while back and had to cull. Once the leg gets behind the tendons are to streched to come back. He was healthy and happy but just would not recover. I put him through this for three weeks but eventually culled. I have put them in a very narrow run (just a couple inches wide ) so his legs could not spread out. Good luck!!!
 
thanks I have now re taped him and put him into a box to keep him calm. he's now standing and eating, we will have to wait to see the results.

Was gonna say the same thing. If they are splayed you need to give it some time to get used to standing or it will go back to the original. I think I remember people saying a week normaly for good results.
