Spot on pullets beak

I have 2 pullets just shy of 8 weeks old. I noticed a black spot on one's beak 2 days ago. It has remained mostly unchanged. Maybe getting a little larger but hardly noticeable. Today I noticed a 2nd pullet with what looks like a sore on her beak in the very same spot. Can any tell me if this is an injury or an illness. If an illness how to treat. Both are Marans one a splash and one a golden cuckoo maran.

Thank you so much, I was hoping that's all it is. They are the 2 most passive in the group. I wanted to be sure in case it was an illness and needed to separate them from the rest of the birds. I have only had chickens for 1.5 years and still learning. I appreciate your help!!!!

They can get little injuries like those poking their beaks through chicken wire or fencing, and sometimes on sharp metal feeders.
