Spots on comb

Can someone tell me what these spots are on my hen?

Thank you.
We're pretty new to chicken keeping. I will look that up. In the interim, should we refrain from consuming her eggs?

The eggs are fine to use. Fowl pox is a virus spread by mosquitoes and usually lasts about a month in the dry form. There is a more serious, but more rare wet form that causes yellow material inside the beak, throat, and trachea. Do not disturb the scabs. They will eventually dry up and fall off. Those dropped scabs can still be contagious to other chickens.
