spots on eggs

Hi,
I have a golden comet whose brown eggs are speckled with brownish red spots. These spots scrub off as I've found when I've had to remove poop from the eggs. Does anyone know what this is? Whether I should make sure to clean it off or if it's harmless? Thanks!

I have them on several of mine every day. No need to scrub them off. It's nothing to worry about.

I heard someone else say that they are blood spots. I always wash them off.
