Ihad a problem with one of my bantam houdan chicks. One of it's legs stuck strait out to the side. So i took 2 small zip ties and zipped them up to about the size of a nickel then i took a piece of string that the feed bags are sewn with and tied the 2 zip ties together about an inch or so apart. Then i slipped the zip ties over its fight and snugged them up. It seems to have worked really well.
The chick before.

I have a similar problem with a newly hatched turken, only its foot is actually facing the wrong direction. It may have other issues as well. I had another (different incubator, different egg source) with a similar problem last year. Does anyone know if they sometimes dislocate their legs while in the shell or hatching? I may try your zip tie idea if I can get the leg into a reasonable position.

From my experiences, calcium deficiencies in parent birds can cause improper muscle and bone development in chicks. If the limb is stiff and indeed does seem dislocated as you mentioned, it is likely to be a deformity that will not go away with time, I'm sorry to say.
