The spruce on my land have been diagnosed with a needdlecast and the arborist has recommended a mix of two fungicides be sprayed on the 20-25' trees. I have 4 chickens and can move them during the spray. I can also cover the run and coop with a large blue tarp.

While they try to spray on non-windy days there is going to be some spray getting around on things.

How long is it recommended that I keep the chickens out of yard after spraying? I've always been organic with my yard but the arborist says it's this or I lose them all. Even then, there is no guarantee.

Thanks.

Charles- I'm sure there are things that need to be factored in. As you know, chickens eat all the greenery. So when the spray hits the ground, it's going to be eaten by the chickens. Find out what the fungicides are, and call the manufactures, ask them the guidelines for grazing animals. They will be able to give you the most educated answer.
