Spreading the chicken fever!

I'm ordering my chickens next week or so, and now, my little sister Syney
wants to join in on the action!

She is almost four and is soaking up all the info I tell her like a sponge. I let her pick out a chicken from the site I'm ordering from. She picked a blue silkie hen. Sydney is going to name it Polly Pocket (polly for short). I think its the cutest thing ever that when i ask her what kind of chickens we are getting she says in her squeeky little voice "A blue silkie, white silkie, millie, and an easter egg chicken!" she has my enthusiasm for sure! She is so little but she knows so much! I told her about taking care of baby chicks, how to hold them, and what are the best treats for them....I tried to explain organics to her, but i think its too much for her! She is just as excited as i am

Awwww.....start them young....always better I say. Sounds like you are a good big sister...and will have alot of help! Have fun with them..and when you get them....of course...we will want to see pics!
