Happy spring everyone. I hope everyone is thawing out nicely. I have a couple questions for everyone. I set my chicken and duck eggs in the incubator on April 1st. I candles on April 6th and about 1/2 I could definitely see the spider veins. The other half the shells are either too dark or could not really see anything. I plan on candling again on April 13th at which point I should be able to definitely see progress and can get rid of the duds. This is my first time incubating and not really sure on the correct process. What is lockdown? When do I lockdown? If and when do I turn off the turner? Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can give.
On a side note: one of my big white geese is setting on over a dozen goose eggs. The eggs consist of Chinese geese, Sebastopol geese and Grey geese. I am hoping for gosling by end of month. My rabbits should also give birth sometime next week. Yay :*)
