Spring Weekend Special (also have included one midweek date that I can do a special). I will be offer 2 dozen eggs to each person.. so I can do two customers per date.

This spring special will include 2 dozen eggs that are laid in a weekend or (Mon. & Tue. for midweek shipping). When the silkies kick in to full gear laying maybe able to include more people on the weekend special.

Silkie pens we have for the spring laying:

B/B/S (you will get blue, black, splash and lavenders from this pen), Partridge, Silver Partridge, Splash only pen, White, Buff, and Black Lavender Split and we will possibly have Lavender pen. But at this time they will not be included in the special until I hatch and make sure they are of good quality.

As with silkies all may not be laying when your date has come up. So you will receive at least 2 doz. eggs from those that are laying.
This special is for mixed eggs not for one color only. If I can accommodate you I will try but no promises as this is for all colors that are laying.

THIS PRICE DOES INCLUDE SHIPPING.

PLEASE DO NOT BID JUST PM FOR THE DATE YOU WANT.

I will post all names as they come in here so you know when your date comes up.
Now the reason I do a presale is that I sell many eggs privately and via other auctions. I want to give
BYC members the first chance and work the other orders in. So please get your date.

That's a good price for that many silkies! My nephew would love them. Though all my animals are his accordig to him...

CJ,

I see what looks to be a tube feeder in one of your photos. Is that what it is? If so can you share details about it? Also, I have to say CJ packs her eggs better than anyone I have ever seen ship eggs! I was very impressed. Sadly the post office still managed to crush my box and break my eggs :o( When the United States Postal Service brings a box to your door on a Sunday, you know you have a problem...lol

I am sure most of you know she is a wonderful person to do business with.

Yes it is a feeder. Love them and they don't take up a lot of room and the birds love them. I made several before getting them where they liked them and I liked them.
Using the Y's the feed don't get hung up. I used 4" pipe that is 3' tall. If I had to do again I think I would make them 4' but 3 foot is chest high and makes it easy to lift a bucket and fill them.

The pen you see them in is my grow out pen. it has a plywood floor. When the chicks go in there they are about 2-3 months old. Not quite tall enough to reach them so I put a 2 qt rubber bowl in front of them as a stool. They love it. the Y is a 4" x 3".. meaning the part they eat out of is 3" around. Enough room for more than one to eat. Almost all my pens have two of these in each pen. The pens off the ground have 1 as they are mostly for raising babies so I use chick feeders in there.
The juvenile (grow out pen) has 4 of these so there is no fighting and I know all get food.

Now what you see is a 4" pipe 3' long, one y (4"x3"). I cut a 6" piece of pipe for the base (but you can make that any height you want). I got free screen from the hardware store that they had left over from fixing screens for windows and doors. I cut a piece that would fit over the base of the pipe and down the sides a bit. Put the y on the base. Had to hammer it a bit because of the screen. The screen does two things. One keeps the feed off the ground and right there for the birds. Also it a vent so the pipe does not sweat when it gets warm out. Then I got plastic pipe strap with mega holes in it and mounted them. Most of what I have are mounted in corners. If you want a top on them you can buy the expensive pvc ones or use a deli cup. I have smaller diameter pipe in the pens also that hold oyster shell.

Hope that helps. cj
