Springfield MA Chickens, is it a thing?

Hi all, new here and looking for guidance on backyard chickens. We live in Springfield, MA and the zoning ordinances are not specific as to whether or not you can or cannot have chickens. Many of our local communities do allow it.

- Are there people who can say they own chickens in Springfield, MA?
- Has it ever been an issue?

My aunt lived there for 25yrs and owned chickens the entire time.. Was never an issue. I did a fast google search to get you zoning laws and this popped up from our group.. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/springfield-massachusetts-chicken-ordinance.61563/

I've done a bunch of googling and read ALL the zoning laws... and some say yes, some say no, but at the end of the day the "laws" are very wordy and unspecific. Just wanted to make sure Thank you for putting me at ease
