I have some sprouts I got from the farmers market. Can I give these to young ducklings? I have some that hatched on Monday.....and lots and lots of sprouts.

Mine love sprouts but remember to give them grit. You can sprinkle a little chick grit or builders sand on their food.

Before the economy went into a downturn I had my own sprout business. I have tons of "sprout makings" and feed all of us sprouts. Us humans, chickens, ducks, geese, parrots, cats and dogs all eat them.

I say go for it. They're delicious and the have the most nutrition when they're sprouted!

Beans are okay if they are cooked to the point that they are very tender. That denatures the protein that is bad for ducks and pretty much all other birds (hemaglutin). Want to know another way to get rid of that protein? Sprout the beans!

it takes about 3-4 days of growth to get rid of all the hemaglutin.
