Sorry we ruined your thread. It's an inside thing, one of those had to be there moments. Anyways I love the care guide and it is really good info. It is definitely not your fault that an unsupervised girl playing exotic conservation officer in her back yard wants to raise something way too hard for her amount of expeirience and knowledge of the birds.

I worked with some ruffed grouse this spring and noticed the hens didn't lay many eggs, and the few they did they were infertile. Do ruffed grouse require them same/similar breeding style? I haven't had my own grouse yet as I want to be positive I can keep them alive before I spend that kind of money.
