Spur cut too short

I was cutting my roosters spurs and cut one too short. Does anyone know how to stop the bleeding? (I don’t have any cornstarch)

I think flour will also work

If any of you guys have a problem like this I sort of have an immediate solution! I laid him down on a towel and burrito rolled him up with only his injured leg out. Then wrapped toilet paper around his spur while he was laid on the ground, using my arm to keep him from wiggling around, then put tape around it all to secure it, make sure not to constantly check on it or it will reopen. I left his on for about 5 hours and it began to scab but he moved and it’s re opened again. I’m planning on keep this for about 5 days or longer to ensure it heals properly. (I think this might work also if you nipped their quick on their toenails but I’m not an expert)
