Squabs have ate WOOD shavings!!

I have two squabs who have been abandoned by their parents so i am hand rearing them, i always check there crop to make sure they have digested the previous feeding as to prevent sour crop.
As i checked today i felt something long and hard which is peculiar i feed seeds which are round. So upon closer inspection i could see the wood shavings through the crop!!
The older one has ate alot whereas the younger one which is smaller and considerably weak has ate few. How can i get them to throw it up or will it go through there system and out as poop?? Help will be highly appreciated as i dont want to lose them

I have uploaded the pictures of both birds and shavings . The bird wrapped up is weaker then the other squab its always been a runt compared to the other one but its growth seems delayed as if mal-nourished . I checked today and they still have wood in the crop from yesterday so i have gave them water only and massaged the crop

Worst case scenario you may have to make a small incision and empty the crop.

If i make a incision in the crop wont they die? Will it heal itself? And how am i to do it if i was to do it? Yhe you ger one has managed to poop it out but is still very weak i have given him egg so that he could get some valuable protein. The older one eho is alot greedier has still got the shavings in him but hopefull itl gt out if his system

I think the birds are doing good? The bigger squab still has wood shavings inside but i gave it warm water massaged its crop and gave it some food. Thank you so much for your help

You are probably wise. If it is not obstructing the digestive system and if he is pooping regularly good deal As a wise man once said " If it is not broken do not try and fix it."I may take awhile but it will eventually get through it's system.,
