When a hen squats in front of you does that mean she is getting ready to lay some eggs?

And the cackling gets loud at times too? What does that mean.

thanks

yep, she's probably getting close to laying.

some pullets do that for a longer period of time than others before they actually start laying eggs.

When they do the squat it means they think that you are the roo and are getting ready to mate. This means that they are maturing and that yes...eggs will be coming soon.

Yah! Eggs for you!

When my squat in front of me they're "lonely" and when they do that cackle they could be ready to lay, but mine do it when someone else is too
