squatting behaviour

Here is "Minx" bought early in December, apparently she was 12 weeks old then. Not yet laying, although, look at her... ! She looks ready, doesn't she ?
My question is to clarify 'squatting'. Just this morning I watched her do the tiniest poo, and then remain in a sort of poo-ing position for about a minute - tail up, bum feathers down...
Is this the 'squatting' I'm waitng for ?

A bown leghorn should have already started laying. I think she's going to lay VERY soon.
