squeaking noise, genetic or ill?

My flock is 2 months old now.

Since the 3rd or 4th week, I've had one Rhode island Red pullet that makes this squeaking noise instead of the normal clucking noise. It's like a whining squeak... maybe like a squeaky toy.

However, I don't think she makes other chicken-like noises. She did make a high-pitched squeal when one of the bigger chicks pecked her to get off the bucket.

I don't think it's an respiratory infection because it hasn't spread. Plus, appears fine. Her eyes looks fine, and no discharge from the nose.

Thoughts?

A video of the noises she makes would be interesting. Upload video to youtube and provide a link.

Juvenile chickens make all kinds of noises as they mature, so what you hear may be perfectly normal.
I will attempt a video after I wake up today (I'm a night shift worker).

Unfortunately, I did not hear the pullet make the noise today. Which is odd, I normally hear it every time I visit.

Though, I did add 60 grams of sugar to their 1 gallon of water. Maybe that helped soothe her throat.

What is the sugar for?
I would not make a habit of that. Chickens don't need it.

They do go through voice changes as they get older.
Nothing, other than to see if it would help soothe her voice. Like how humans drinks honey tea to soothe their voice.

Also, 60 grams to a gallon is 1.5% sugar by weight. That's hardly anything.

But thank you anyway. I'll see if I hear it within the next couple of days.
