Squishy egg with yolk on outside

We noticed today that one of our hens was getting pretty beat up by the other girls (10 total in the flock). We removed the girl getting beat up and left her out of the run to free range by herself. I saw that she was a bit lethargic and I assumed it was from the stress of getting beat up.

However, when we went to check on her before bed, she had laid an egg and then hadn't moved away from the egg. The pictures show what the egg looked like and what she looked like. The egg was soft, not completely shell-less though. It was covered in thick nasty yolk it looked like. She is normally one of our very best layers. A few weeks ago she had trouble passing an egg, turned out to be a huge double yolker, but she seemed fine after that. Her bum was super nasty and gross. We took her inside and got her cleaned up. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong though. I'm going to keep her in a crate in the garage overnight.

Any thoughts on what is going on here?

Is that a shelled egg under all that yolk? Seems her reproductive system is going a little haywire. The flock might be picking on her because they sense weakness/illness. (or alternatively, the stress of being picked on might be affecting her.) How is her body language? Can you feel if her breast muscle is wasting away at all? Is her abdomen (fluffy butt) bloated at all?
