Went and gathered eggs this evening, found one that was a soft shell.....actually no shell, just a tuff membrain, i got one along time ago that was soft, but this one looked like it had
a (for lack of a better description, ) a umbilical cord about 3 or inches long attatched to the end.....kinda weird lookin. They get a really good diet along with oyster shell, and scraps...im thinking its just an odd thing that happens ever so often.

I wouldn't worry either, sometimes they lay goofy things, especially when starting or stopping for the season.
