Stable Temp and Humidity

Hello all! I am new to the whole incubation thing. I didn't have the money to go and buy an incubator so I made one. Well as of right now I can't keep the humidity at the level it is supposed to be at. I can't seem to figure out exactly how much water is supposed to be in there. I mean its really close to where it needs to be, but I don't know how to keep it there. Any advice would be great!!

Use a sponge and cut it into pieces.... add/takeaway accordingly.
