Ok need advice my hen left her eggs after she hatched 2 chicks she is being a very good mom to them. So i put the 4 eggs in the bator and they are alive and moving but i dont know if she layed this later then the other 2 chicks that hatched i am assume so. The problem is i have other eggs in there that require turning has anyone done a staggered hatch in the same bator?> How does that work when you still have to turn eggs? You have to lift the lid i have like 50 eggs in my hovabator. Any help would be great>

I've had to doo a couple of stagard hatches. do you have an automatic turner or are you hand turning ? I have misted the eggs needing to hatch. I would shut off the turner to keep the chicks from getting cauht. and hand turn the others. it is not perfect but it works

You need to turn the ones that are not in lockdown, but you are not supposed to open the 'bator while the eggs are in lockdown. You could see reduced hatch. It would be nice if you had a second 'bator. I bought two right off the bat, so that I could do staggered hatches. Good luck, I hope it goes well for you.

I have a second bator it has a turner but i have been hand turning these would it make a difference if it went from rolling to the side to side the turner does. I have room i think for them I well try it
