Staggered Hatch

How does everyone do staggered hatches .My first eggs just finished 100 precent in. LG still air.So I got all goop and eggs sheels out .And am continuing on with second batch of eggs. Do I need to do more cleaning . After a normal all eggs at same time I give it a very good cleaning .

You can take them out and clean it. 20 minutes out of the incubator won't kill them. A mama hen gets up to go to the bathroom, eat, and dust bathe, after all.

just wasn't sure how long it would take to warm back up

That's true.

I remember reading not too long ago that someone used a blow dryer to get theirs up to temp faster, for whatever reason.

You have to remember, the internal temps of the egg does not cool off no where near as fast as the air temp. Taking 15-20 minutes to clean the bator and put them back in, and letting them come to temp, naturally, is not going to hurt them. The momma gets off her nest daily. Some of the new incubators now have a cool down period, usually of an hour to mimick natural conditions. Unless your incubator is extremely slow at coming back up to temp, there's no need for anything extra.

Thaks Amy. My LG warmed up pretty quick .So we will see how the second part of hatch does in a week plus a few days .Amy today is 21 for Hovabator 1602N ..Well really tonite since I put in at 9pm. 5 pipped and one hatched.
