⠀ Staining inside of coop

Why would you stain the inside of a coop? I thought it would be better for the chickens if left natural.

Painting and staining seal the wood, protecting it from moisture and dirt. It's certainly best to use a low volatile paint or stain, unless you can leave it to air out for a while afterwards.
