Lots of questions here. This is my 9-10 week old black cochin chick, I am not sure if she is full cochin or standard or bantam??? Any guesses I plan to take her to the 4h fair my son adores her and want to show her. Her tail throws me off I thimk it would be more round then pointy like hers if she was all cochin

she looks big for a bantam. my RIR chicks are almost 8 weeks and they are small right now, but they are standard. I think she is standard

How old is your son? If she is a standard, she will be HUGE and if your son is little, it may be awfully difficult for him to handle her for showmanship. If he's older, might not be a problem. If he's young, I'd get him a bantam to work with.

I'd probably get him a smaller bird unless he is large for his size. No way would I expect my 9 yr old DD to be able to manage one of those full grown. Has he done showmanship before?
