We picked up a poult labeled bronze at the local feed store. I emailed them to see if they were standard or bbb since we have enjoyed him/her so much. They said they are only carrying standard. He's in with the chicks from this year, but rather spoiled and allowed to run around the house. He likes to sleep on the bed..yes we are crazy.
I've been looking at other folks pictures of their poults and it doesn't seem like the others have so much white at his age. Ours is about 6-7 weeks old and about 2 lbs 1 ounce. He looked like everyone elses till he started getting a lot of wing feathers. Does this seem right? They are also a bit scruffy, not sure if that is normal either. He's in an area of the coop with the chicks which is 4x8 with a heat lamp right now, well when not in the house.
