Is there a differance in size among the Orpington chickens?

I see some listed as Heavy and others as Standard or is that one
in the same.

Edited to respell!

Nothing more funny than getting egg on my face, with stupid mistakes:lol:

While I am redoing this,

Would the choice be, better to buy from show stock in the Blue\\Black\\Lavander
colors?

Standard and heavy are virtually the same. What you need to watch for is the bantam version.

I raise the heavy (standard version) which weighs about 6 - 8 lbs.

The bantam look virtually the same but a smaller in weight. Perhaps someone might be able to provide a accurate weight for the bantams.

Well.....from what I've been reading, I don't think that's quite true.

First you have standard and bantam.

THEN, standard is broken down into heavy and light.

Orpington -- heavy (standard)

Ancona -- light (standard)

And so on.
