I want to make some olive eggers with my BCM roo and EE gals. I haven't done home-hatching since my first banty flock as a kid, but am otherwise a chicken-pro

Is there a consensus for good noob incubator under $200 for 20+ eggs?

My partner & I both work full time, but usually a bit diff shifts, so someone is home but for a few hours at a time to keep an eye on things for more fussy set-ups, but obviously lower-maintenance is better.

For a used stryo bator I think 60 is a bit steep. Unless it comes with a turner and therm and all that as well. You can get a brand new one for anywhere between 100 - 150 dending on what you want. You can also get a manul brinsea 20 for about 150 they are pretty good and no need to turn the eggs indivdually by hand without the turner you can just rock the whole thing. Its up to you I feel unless your gettting a really good deal used bators might not be worth it you wont know if it has problems till its to late but if a brand new one does you can send it in for fixing or replaceing.

It says it has an egg turner. Guess I should take my neighbor up on his offer to borrow his, and keep shopping.
I want to get a batch of olive eggers started by Sept 1st.

Check out videos on Youtube and build your own its really easy and super cheap. I personally would not buy a bator that I could not adjust the temp on. I have had to drop my temp down to 97-98 to get a decent hatch. 99 is too hot and eggs were hatching days early.

I think I'll borrow the neighbor's incubator (not sure what kind but it works for him) until I can figure out what to build/buy. I want to start some babies in a few weeks, but can't afford a higher-priced bator right now.
